Wisdom and understanding has less to do with what we know and more to do with what we do. Many get caught up on trying to intellectualize things for the sake of feeling empowered but, these two key points in our growth have very little to do with our own strength and much to do with recognition of His strength. In Christianity we will find one of the biggest hindrances is the fact that we want to change ourselves rather than allow God to change us, why? I think it can be explained in one sentence: we can’t see Him so we assume He is not at work in us. Am I the only one who has felt this way? I’ll ask you though, do you see your hot water heater as it is tempering the cold water entering it? No, but as we turn the hot water knob do we doubt we will get hot water? Isn't interesting how we can believe in something man creates but have trouble believing in the one who created man himself? We have to get back to the basics and these basics are departing from evil and worshipping and acknowledging the Lord!

La sabiduría y el entendimiento tienen todo que ver con lo que hacemos y no tanto con lo conocemos o sabemos. Muchos malgastan su energía tratando de sonar intelectuales como si esto les diera una fortaleza interna que en realidad no tienen. La sabiduría y el entendimiento, no tienen nada que ver con nuestras fuerzas si no más bien se trata de reconocer la grandeza y el poderío de Dios. Uno de los obstáculos más grandes que podemos encontrar en nuestra vida cristiana, es el hecho de que constantemente estamos tratando de cambiarnos a si mismos en vez de permitirle a Dios que El sea el que nos cambie. ¿Por qué sucede esto? Creo que lo puedo explicar fácilmente: como no lo podemos ver, asumimos que El no esta trabajando en nosotros. ¿Seré el único que ha pensado esto? Permíteme preguntarte algo, ¿acaso puedes ver como el agua fría entra en tu calentador de agua? ¿Cierto que no? Pero no dudas por un instante que cuando abras la llave del agua caliente, saldrá agua caliente, ¿cierto? No les parece increíble como podemos creer en algo que fue creado por el hombre, pero nos cuesta tanto trabajo creer en aquel que creo al hombre. Tenemos que regresar a lo básico y lo básico es: ¡apartarnos del mal y adorar y reconocer al Señor!
